Hi friends and family,
I am so excited to share that I will, G-d willing, be participating in this year’s “Wheels of Love” five-day bike ride and fundraising event for the incredible Alyn hospital. Alyn is a pediatric facility that helps physically challenged children from all over Israel rehabilitate and function at their highest potential.
I am dedicating this ride and fundraising campaign to my father, Dr. Howard Bleich, of blessed memory, on the 5th anniversary of his passing, which is today, the 25th of Elul. 
My father, z”l, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010, at the age of 73. As he suffered through the challenges of treatment, he often said the things he wished to return to if he felt well, were the gym,  and practicing the clarinet. Many months later, when he went back to the gym, he said it was one of his happiest days. 
He lived another 10 years. 
From him, I learned resilience. 
And so, I, too, am coming back a third time, after having prepared, but not ridden in 2023 and 2024. I’m signing up again to train, to dedicate energy and thought to such an important cause, and to channel my dad’s resilience and tenacity as I, too, “climb back on the scooter every time I fall off”.
