This November, I'll be returning to Israel to participate in Wheels of Love - four challenging and inspiring days of cycling through southern Israel and the Negev Desert.  We finish at Alyn Hospital in the hills of Jerusalem. 

The ride supports the remarkable work of ALYN, Israel's leading pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation center.  ALYN helps children facing challenges gain greater mobilty, independence and quality of life.  Its patients come from Israel and abroad and receive care regardless of religion or ethnicity.  

For me, one of the highlights of the ride is the opportunity to ride alongside members of the Swift and the Bold.  These remarkable young riders have undergone treatment at ALYN and maybe first began cycling as part of their rehabilitation.  Some ride adaptive hand bikes, some ride tandems with dedicated volunteers, and others ride independently.  They train for many hours to participate, and their determination and joy are a powerful reminder of why we ride.
