Dear family and friends,

The annual ALYN bike ride begins in just three weeks!

While Jeff and I joined last year, we were doubtful we would ride/tour this year because of numerous challenges we have been facing.

For Jeff, now 85 - he is still young in spirit but not in his "frame".  Never the less, when he remembers his late son, Alon, (whom he and Jane adopted from Alyn over 40 years ago) supporting Alyn is a way to honor his memory.  So he is joining along in the touring program.

As I approach my 70th birthday, I've had my doubts about cycling 60-80 KM/day.  Do I have the strength and endurance for the Eilat mountains in the Negev Desert?  What pushed me to decide was thinking about the challenges disabled kids face everyday.  Do they ask themselves, "do I sit out the day, stay home, or do I get up and do what I can do and THAT act might push me to do more?"

Thinking of the kids at Alyn, has pushed me to say YES, I will ride again!  

So, Jeff and I have signed on, paid for our lodgings, made our own contribution and invite you to join us in the mitzva/good deed of supporting Alyn.
